Location
Myanmar, formally Burma, is situated in Southeast Asia. There is India and Bangladesh in the west; China in the Northeast; Laos and Thailand in the east.

Ethnic Group
There are eight major ethnic groups in Myanmar such as Burmese (Bama), Shan, Karen, Rakhine, Mon, Kachin, Chin and Kaya. Majority are Burmese. The rest are minority. There are many tribes within each ethnic group.
Major Relion
Buddhism is the largest religion and about 85% of the country's population are Buhhists. Christians are about 6% and Muslims about 4-5%. Hindus are less than 1%. The rest are the so-called "traditional believers" or "Natasha" in Burmese term.
The Burmese are mostly Buddhists. The Chin and Kachin are mostly Christians. Perhaps 50% of Karen are Christians. Kaya, Mon, Rakhine and Shan ethnic groups are mostly Buddhists.
